Childbirth Education Classes
Choose from one day intensive course, a three day condensed course or a seven week course. All the tools you need to have a wonderful birth experience will be given to you. You will also receive your childbirth education booklet, a birthing ball, money saving coupons, freebies and local pregnancy & beyond resources. All classes are in the privacy of your home. Awakened Childbirth Class- This is a one day 5 hour intensive class. This is a great refresher course or for couples familiar with birth. We will cover getting in touch with your body and mind during pregnancy,hands-on birth ball instruction and other comfort techniques, optimal positioning for labor and birth, relaxation techniques, releasing your fears, informed consent, medical interventions, postpartum recovery and so much more.
The cost for this course is $175

Empowered Childbirth Class- This is a three week course. We will meet on a predetermined day for three consecutive weeks. Each class will last two hours. In the course we will look more into everything covered in the Awakened Class as well as work with activities and exercises for you and your partner to learn and grow.
The cost for this course is $225

Blessed Childbirth Class- This is a seven week course. We will meet on a predetermined day for seven consecutive weeks. Each class will last two hours. In this course we will cover everything covered in the Empowered course as well as belly mapping, the ice exercise, breastfeeding, infant care and nutrition during pregnancy.

Additional Holistic Classes

Breastfeeding Instruction- There are many breastfeeding classes out there but none of them give you hands on instruction when you need it, after the birth of your wee one. That is why Wee Wonders Doulas is happy to offer this two part breastfeeding instructional class. We will meet once prenatally and once postpartum. You will also receive 3 months phone/email support. Each class will last between 1-2 hours.
During the first class we will go over milk production, nutrition for the mother, possible complications and their solutions, common breastfeeding myths, positioning and proper latch, how to know your baby is getting enough and storing and expressing your milk. Since this is a private class all your questions will be answered as well.
At the second class we will see how your latch is with your new one, give you a chance to try out the different positions covered in the first class,go over the sleep cycle of a nursing baby, pumping basics, show you how to use the pump you have and answer any last minute questions you have.
The cost for this course is $150

Basic Newborn Care- This is a two hour course that covers newborn care from day one. During this course we will go over the first few hours after birth, cord care, diapering, sleep patterns, bathing, swaddling, care of the penis; intact or circumcised, basic babywearing and co-sleeping, signs your baby is sick and when to call the doctor.
The cost for this course is $50

Infant Nutrition- This two hour course will cover introducing good wholesome nutrition to you wee one. We will go over the signs to look for the your baby is ready to eat, how to make your own baby food and what to start with, storage of homemade food, how to know your baby is getting the right foods, common allergies and what to look for. We will make some baby food with the tools you already have in your home. This is a fun class that even your baby will enjoy!

Intro to Cloth Diapering- Are you interested in cloth diapering? In this two hour class I will show you samples of all the latest styles of cloth diapers. If you are not quite sure but like the idea, I would love to educate you on all aspects of cloth diapering. In this class we will cover types of cloth diapers, getting the proper fit, washing methods, and caring for your diapers. You will receive a folder full of information on diapering also information and coupons for local and internet retailers.
Private cloth diaper classes for groups of up to 4 couples $50* ;Cloth Diapering Start-up- Ready to cloth diaper but overwhelmed by all the options out there, then this is the class for you! In this two hour class I will show you samples of all the latest styles of cloth diapers. I will educate you on all aspects of cloth diapering and common mistakes to avoid. This class will cover types of cloth diapers, getting the proper fit, washing methods, and caring for your diapers. I will provide you with 6 prefolds and a custom made diaper. We will also sit down and work out your budget for cloth diapering and how to get the perfect stash on that budget. You will receive a folder full of information on diapering also information and coupons for local and internet retailers.

Babywearing Class- Make an informed choice and stay away from the harmful styles with my help. I will show you many different slings, the good and the bad! During this class I will demonstrate how to properly wear your baby from birth until toddler hood.
